A green roof adds weight, water and roots to a flat roof, and the insulation has to carry all three. The RF350 board is the roof grade chosen for planted roofs: 350 kPa compressive strength supports the overburden of substrate, drainage layer and mature planting, and water absorption of 1.5% by volume or less means the retained water in the roof build-up does not enter the insulation and does not take the U-value with it.
