A Successful XPS Foam Board Project for Maldives: A Story of Trust, Responsibility, and Professional Service
In the global insulation materials industry, real success is not only defined by product quality, but also by professional service, responsibility, and long-term customer care. Recently, our sales representative Daisy successfully completed a customized XPS foam board project for a client in the Maldives, creating a true story of trust and cooperation.

Step 1: From First Contact to Office and Factory Visit
The cooperation began with Daisy’s professional communication with the client, and the client proactively requested a face-to-face meeting. After receiving the initial inquiry for customized XPS insulation boards, Daisy welcomed the client to our Shanghai office and arranged a comprehensive business discussion.
Following the office visit, Daisy personally escorted the client to our manufacturing factory, where a full on-site production inspection and quality control session was conducted. The customer carefully evaluated our production process and inspected a wide range of advanced testing and quality control equipment, including checks on:
- Density stability
- Dimensional accuracy
- Surface flatness
- Production process control
The client was highly impressed by our well-equipped quality control system, testing capabilities, and strict manufacturing standards, and expressed strong confidence in our manufacturing reliability and product consistency.

Step 2: Internal Approval and a Four-Container Order
After returning to the Maldives, the client completed internal technical discussions and management approvals. Shortly afterward, Daisy received the formal confirmation:
- Four (4) 40-foot containers of XPS foam boards were ordered
- All products were custom-made according to project specifications
This marked the official start of a long-term business relationship.

Step 3: Production and an Unexpected Logistics Challenge
Due to the highly customized dimensions and density requirements, the production process required strict accuracy and careful management.
During container loading, the logistics team noticed that the actual container dimensions were slightly different from the standard specifications, making it impossible to fully load the containers as originally calculated.
After careful consideration, Daisy made a customer-oriented decision:
She arranged the shipment of additional XPS foam boards free of charge to fill the remaining container space.
Although this decision slightly reduced the project profit, Daisy firmly believes that customer satisfaction and long-term partnership are always the top priority.

Step 4: Typhoon Delay and Professional Communication
Before the planned shipment, a typhoon affected the shipping schedule, forcing a delay.
During this period, Daisy:
- Kept daily contact with the freight forwarder
- Closely tracked port operations
- Proactively updated the client with real-time information
Although the client was concerned about the schedule, they fully understood the situation and highly appreciated Daisy’s transparent and responsible communication.

After the customer received the goods in the Maldives, Daisy continued to provide thoughtful support to ensure proper use of the high-performance XPS insulation. She proactively shared:
- Detailed product handling instructions, including careful opening of container doors to prevent injury from panels
- Storage guidelines, advising indoor placement in a cool, ventilated area and avoiding prolonged sunlight exposure
- Usage tips, such as pouring concrete promptly after roof installation to prevent deformation
- Safety reminders, emphasizing the need to prevent exposure to high temperatures to maintain board quality
This hands-on guidance helped the client use the XPS insulation boards safely and effectively, further strengthening trust and satisfaction

This feedback not only reflects the client’s satisfaction but also paves the way for long-term partnership and future projects.
