Non-Combustible Sound Absorption Performance Rock Wool Insulation Pipe
This non-combustible sound absorption performance rock wool insulation pipe does two jobs at once: it insulates hot and cold piping to save energy, and it absorbs noise to reduce sound travelling along pipes and through the surrounding space. Because it is made from inorganic basalt rock wool, it is Class A non-combustible and will not burn, spread flame or release the dense smoke of foam plastics, which is important for tunnels, plant rooms and high-occupancy buildings.
The pre-formed section fits closely around the pipe, so thermal and acoustic performance is even and joints are tight. It is water-repellent, dimensionally stable and easy to install, and it protects personnel from hot surfaces and prevents condensation on cold lines. It is a practical choice wherever fire safety, thermal performance and quiet operation all matter.

Supply and Service
Myreal rock wool products are supplied in polyethylene packages (or cartons for pipe) to make handling, transportation, storage and identification easy, and they should be stored indoors or under a waterproof covering. Special sizes, thicknesses and facings can be produced to order. Aluminium foil facings and other waterproof facings are available for the board, pipe and blanket ranges. Every batch is checked for density, thermal conductivity and dimensional accuracy before dispatch. Rock wool is also a sustainable, recyclable insulation: it is made largely from abundant volcanic rock, contains no asbestos and no ozone-depleting blowing agents, and it can help projects earn green-building credits. It is chemically stable, non-corrosive to steel and aluminium in normal use, and it will not support mould growth. If you would like the full technical data sheet, a free sample, the applicable test report or a project specific quotation, our engineering team will gladly help you choose the right model, thickness and facing for your building or industrial project. Tell us your application, working temperature and target performance and we will recommend the most cost-effective MYREAL rock wool solution.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the pipe fire safe?
A: Yes. It is Class A non-combustible and does not burn or spread flame.
Q: Does it reduce noise?
A: Yes. The fibrous rock wool absorbs sound, which lowers noise along pipes and in plant rooms.
Q: Does it insulate too?
A: Yes. It provides excellent thermal insulation on both hot and cold piping at the same time.
