HVAC duct insulation has to control heat gain and also keep the duct surface above dew point, otherwise the ceiling void fills with condensate. Phenolic foam does both with a thin board: 20 mm gives a resistance comparable to much thicker mineral wool, so the duct keeps its designed size inside a crowded ceiling void.

The board is rigid enough to be cut into duct panels and bonded with a standard foil faced adhesive, and the aluminium foil face acts as the vapour barrier when the joints are taped. HVAC duct insulation installed this way passes a smoke and flame spread check on site because the foil and the phenolic core are both low fuel materials.

We supply the board in sheets sized for duct fabrication, with square edges that butt tightly and a flat surface that takes tape without bubbles. For large air handling projects the HVAC duct insulation board can be delivered pre cut to your duct schedule, which removes cutting waste from the workshop floor.

For marine and offshore duct work the board is supplied with a heavier foil and edge protection, and each HVAC duct insulation panel is labelled with its duct reference so the fitter knows where it belongs.
