Product Description

High Thermal Insulation Efficiency Phenolic Panel 80 mm for Roof Wall Application

High thermal insulation efficiency is what allows an envelope to meet a modern U value without a thick build up. At 0.032 W/(m.K), an 80 mm phenolic panel reaches a resistance that would take roughly 120 mm of EPS, which is why it is used where roof zones and wall depths are already fixed by design.

The panel is foil faced on both sides and produced on a continuous lamination line, so the foam is uniform in density and the faces are flat. That flatness matters on a roof, where any high spot becomes a point load under the waterproofing membrane, and on a wall, where it shows through a thin render.

For roof wall application the panel is fixed with mechanical fasteners at the structural line and joints are staggered and taped. We calculate the U value from your design temperatures and confirm the thickness before the order is placed, so the high thermal insulation efficiency figure on the datasheet matches the building.

For roof wall application the panel layout is drawn before production, and every high thermal insulation efficiency phenolic panel is marked with its position on the drawing.

Key Advantages

  • 80 mm gives resistance comparable to roughly 120 mm of EPS
  • Uniform foam density from continuous lamination
  • Flat faces avoid point loads under roof membranes
  • Dimensional stability within 2.0% from minus 40 to 130 C
  • Foil facing provides vapour control at joints
  • U value calculated for your design temperatures

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can the panel be used on both roof and wall?

A: Yes, the same panel is used on both, with the fixing pattern adjusted for wind uplift on the roof.

Q: What is the maximum thickness available?

A: We produce up to 120 mm, and thicker build ups are achieved with two layers staggered.

Q: Does the panel need a vapour barrier?

A: The foil facing forms part of the vapour control layer, and joints must be taped and penetrations sealed.

Q: How do you confirm the U value?

A: We calculate it from your design temperatures and the full build up, including fixings and any thermal bridging.
