Closed-Cell Foam Glass Insulation Board
Our closed-cell foam glass insulation board is produced from recycled glass that is finely ground, blended with a controlled carbon foaming agent and fired in a tunnel kiln until it expands into a rigid cellular block. More than 95 % of the cells are fully closed and hermetically sealed, so the board blocks the simultaneous movement of air, water vapour and liquid water. This sealed cell wall structure delivers a thermal performance that does not drift with age, humidity or repeated thermal cycling, and it removes the capillary wicking that normally pulls moisture into fibrous insulation.
Because the material is inorganic cellular glass, the board is rot-proof, vermin-proof, non-toxic and completely non-combustible. It is a lightweight yet strong board that can be cut, sawn and bonded on site with conventional tools, which keeps installation fast and predictable. Closed-cell foam glass insulation is a long-life solution for projects that demand stable insulating value in damp, cold or chemically aggressive service conditions.
