Cold Room Insulation Panel PUR Sandwich Board 100 mm Tongue Groove Edge
A cold room insulation panel has to hold temperature and stop humid air from reaching the evaporator. This 100 mm PUR sandwich board does both: the closed cell core delivers 0.023 W/(m.K), and the tongue groove edge forms a continuous interlock that removes the straight through gap of a square edged panel.
Each cold room insulation panel is foamed between pre-coated steel sheets, so the surface is flat, washable and suitable for food areas. Cam locks pull adjacent panels together and compress the sealant in the joint, closing the vapour path. The cold room insulation panel is structural, so rooms up to six metres high need no separate frame.
We build cold room insulation panels for chiller, freezer and blast freezer duty, and match core thickness to the room band. A 100 mm panel suits chilled storage near zero to five degrees, while freezer rooms step up to 120 or 150 mm so the warm face stays above dew point.
Where the room opens to a loading dock we add a reinforced threshold detail, so the cold room insulation panel at the door keeps its seal when pallet trucks pass.

Q: What thickness for a minus 25 degree freezer?
A: We normally specify 150 mm, and 120 mm where the room sits inside a heated building. Dew point is checked for your climate first.
