Excellent Thermal Insulation PUR Cold Room Panel 75 mm for Roof Wall Lining
Excellent thermal insulation is the first requirement in a cold room, because every watt that crosses the envelope is paid for at the compressor. This 75 mm PUR panel targets chilled rooms and roof wall lining where a compact build up matters, and the closed cell core holds its lambda through wash down and door openings.
Panels are faced with coated steel and fixed directly to purlins or secondary framing. The joint carries a sealant bead so the vapour barrier stays continuous, because excellent thermal insulation in practice means no gaps rather than a good number on a datasheet. Edges overlap instead of butting to keep that line closed.
For refurbishment the 75 mm panel can be fixed over an existing envelope, avoiding a full strip out. We check the warm face temperature against room dew point, and where the margin is thin we step up a thickness rather than rely on sealant alone.
Where a cold room sits inside an existing shell, the excellent thermal insulation of the roof wall lining is often the weakest path, so we check the junction between panel and structural wall before approving the layout.
Key Advantages
- Closed cell PUR core holds 0.023 W/(m.K) in wet service
- Excellent thermal insulation with overlapping sealed joints
- 75 mm thickness suits chilled rooms and lining upgrades
- Coated steel facing is cleanable and food area compliant
- Panels fit over existing envelopes in refurbishment
- Light weight reduces load on secondary steelwork

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is 75 mm enough for a chilled room?
A: For rooms held between zero and five degrees, yes in most climates. Dew point and surface temperature are checked before thickness is confirmed.
Q: Can the same panel be used on the roof?
A: Yes, with a heavier facing where the roof is walked for maintenance.
Q: How are joints sealed?
A: A neutral silicone or butyl bead sits in the joint and is compressed as panels are fixed.
Q: Do you provide layout drawings?
A: Yes, send room dimensions and door positions and we return a layout, cutting list and fixing schedule.
