MYREAL dense calcium silicate board MY270 is the highest density grade in the range at up to 270 kg/m3, with compressive strength of 0.65 MPa and dimensional stability within 1%. It is used as back-up and hot face insulation in industrial furnaces where the lining must resist mechanical damage and hold a flat, stable surface.
Technical Data
Application
Applied to furnace walls, roofs and doors in heat treatment, chemical and process furnaces operating up to 650 C, and supplied as special shaped parts where geometry is complex.
- Industrial furnace wall, roof and door lining
- Back-up insulation behind refractory brickwork
- Furnace casing insulation in chemical plants
- Special shaped parts for complex furnace geometry
- High temperature equipment where a dense board is required
Key Advantages
- 280 kg/m3 class density with 0.65 MPa compressive strength resists mechanical damage.
- Dimensional stability within 1% keeps the lining flat through thermal cycling.
- Rigid board accepts anchors and supports a refractory back-up system.
- Class A1 non-combustible with no flame spread and no dense smoke.
- Special shaped parts can be produced to drawing for complex furnace geometry.
Standards and Compliance
- Manufactured to GB/T 5486 calcium silicate products standard under an ISO 9001 certified quality system
- GB/T 8624 Class A1 non-combustible, no flame spread and no dense smoke
- Super low chloride ion content protects stainless steel and alloy pipework from chloride stress corrosion
- Low water absorption, performance is not affected by humidity
- Free of formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful substances
- Special shaped parts can be customized to your drawing
Installation Notes
- Fix boards to a cleaned steel shell with studs and washers or anchors.
- Stagger joints between layers to close thermal paths.
- Leave the designed expansion allowance at corners and door frames.
- Cure slowly on first heat-up to release residual moisture.
