MYREAL power plant pipe insulation uses calcium silicate sections specified for main steam, hot reheat and feedwater lines in generating plants. Because the material carries a super low chloride ion content, it is suited to stainless and alloy steel pipework in thermal, nuclear and combined cycle plants, where chloride stress corrosion is a design concern.
Technical Data
Application
Used on main steam, reheat, extraction and feedwater piping in thermal power, nuclear power, hydroelectric and combined cycle plants.
- Main steam and hot reheat piping insulation
- Turbine extraction and feedwater lines
- Nuclear power plant auxiliary piping insulation
- Combined cycle HRSG connecting pipework
- City heat supply main and high pressure headers
Key Advantages
- Super low chloride ion content, suitable for stainless and alloy steel lines.
- Rigid section holds a concentric thickness on large bore high pressure piping.
- 0.081-0.087 W/(m.K) at 300 C supports plant heat rate targets.
- Resists vibration and thermal cycling on turbine and pump connections.
- Class A1 non-combustible for turbine hall fire safety requirements.
Standards and Compliance
- Manufactured to GB/T 5486 calcium silicate products standard under an ISO 9001 certified quality system
- GB/T 8624 Class A1 non-combustible, no flame spread and no dense smoke
- Super low chloride ion content protects stainless steel and alloy pipework from chloride stress corrosion
- Low water absorption, performance is not affected by humidity
- Free of formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful substances
- Special shaped parts can be customized to your drawing
Installation Notes
- Install half-sections with circumferential joints staggered between layers.
- Clamp with stainless steel bands at 300 mm pitch on vertical lines.
- Fit expansion joints at the spacing defined in the insulation design.
- Clad with aluminum or stainless steel sheet in turbine hall areas.
