Lightweight Ceramic Stone Cladding Panel that Replaces a 30 mm Granite Slab
In short: The FJ-1002H is a 35 mm lightweight ceramic stone cladding panel at about 8.8 kg/m2, replacing a 30 mm granite slab of 70-80 kg/m2, Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624 and 0.6% water absorption.
Weight is the hidden cost of a stone facade. A 30 mm granite slab runs 70–80 kg/m², which drives anchor size, keel section, slab handling and, on retrofit work, structural strengthening. This lightweight ceramic stone cladding panel weighs about 8.8 kg/m² at 35 mm — roughly one eighth of the stone it replaces.
The saving is structural, not cosmetic. Lighter panels mean smaller back-groove anchors, lighter horizontal rails, fewer crane lifts and faster installation per square metre. On existing buildings the same reduction often decides whether a stone look overclad is feasible at all without strengthening the frame.
Core Advantages
- About 8.8 kg/m² at 35 mm: against 70–80 kg/m² for a 30 mm granite slab, so anchor count, keel steel and lifting plant all come down
- Full Stone Look: fired-in mineral grain reproduces granite colour and speckle without the weight, joints and slab-matching problems of natural stone
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: inorganic body rated Class A1 to GB 8624, suitable for facade and compartment lining use
- 0.6% Water Absorption: closed cells and a sintered skin resist rain, frost and pollution without sealing maintenance
- Cuts Like Stone on Site: standard stone tooling cuts, grooves and drills the panel, so window returns and corners are handled by the fixing crew
- Fewer Fixing Risks: each panel can be carried and set by two installers, removing the vacuum-lifter dependency that slows stone crews

Application
- Facade cladding on buildings with a structural load cap or a thin existing frame
- Column and beam cladding where stone weight would need extra steel
- High-rise elevations where crane time and slab handling dominate the programme
- Canopies, soffits and balcony fascias that cannot take a stone skin
- Stone look elevations on steel-frame industrial and logistics buildings
- Interior atria and shopping mall columns where panel handling is manual
Installation & Fixing
Above 10 m use a ventilated dry-hanging system with aluminium or zinc-coated steel keel, stainless back-groove anchors and a 15–20 mm open joint, packed with PE backer rod and silicone sealant. Below 10 m an adhesive-plus-anchor method is acceptable when the substrate is flat and wind load has been verified. Because the panel is light, two-person handling with a suction cup is practical; send facade area and storey height and we will return a load calculation and fixing layout.
Packing
Supplied on pallets, export packing about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm, loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with fumigation-free packing. Store under cover, keep pallets level and avoid point loads on the decorated face.
FAQ
A: About 61–71 kg per square metre against a 30 mm granite slab, which on a 3000 m² elevation is roughly 180–210 tons of dead load removed from the structure.
A: Yes. Compressive strength is 0.40–2.00 MPa, tensile 0.15–0.26 MPa and flexural strength ≥0.60 MPa to GB/T 5486, and the dry-hanging system carries wind load through stainless anchors; we supply the calculation with the shop drawings.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send your facade area, storey height and existing structure type, and we will return a weight comparison, fixing layout and quotation within two working days.
