Retrofit Granite Look Ceramic Cladding for Old Building Facades
In short: The FJ-1006P is a 35 mm retrofit granite look ceramic cladding overclad at about 8.8 kg/m2, fixed on a light sub-frame outside the existing wall, Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624 and 0.6% water absorption.
Renovating an old elevation usually runs into the same wall: the structure has no reserve for a new stone skin, and tenants cannot lose floor area to internal insulation. This retrofit granite look ceramic cladding is a 35 mm overclad at about 8.8 kg/m², fixed on a light sub-frame outside the existing wall, so the building gains a stone look and an insulation layer without structural strengthening.
Working outside the line also means the building stays occupied. The sub-frame is set off the old facade to even out irregularities, the panel is carried by hand, and each elevation can be closed in sections so scaffolding is not needed on all faces at once.
Core Advantages
- About 8.8 kg/m² at 35 mm: light enough to hang on old brick, block or in-situ concrete without a structural upgrade in most cases
- Insulation Added Outside: 0.064 W/(m·K) at 100°C plus a heat storage coefficient of 1.5 improve the envelope without losing floor area
- Sections Closed Progressively: elevations can be completed face by face, which suits occupied buildings and phased scaffold
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: an upgrade in both look and fire performance on older elevations
- Tolerates Irregular Substrates: the sub-frame is packed off the old wall, so uneven brickwork does not need rendering first
- 0.6% Water Absorption: adds a rain screen to walls that previously relied on paint or render

Application
- Residential blocks with a dated render or tiled facade
- Office refurbishment where the frame cannot take a stone skin
- Schools and hospitals upgraded while still in use
- Heritage-adjacent infill that must read as stone from the street
- Industrial and warehouse elevations being brought to a corporate standard
- Buildings with irregular brickwork where rendering first is not viable
Installation & Fixing
Survey first: establish substrate type, pull-out strength and the offset needed to reach a true plane. Set a galvanised sub-frame off the wall, pack to the survey, then fix panels with stainless back-groove anchors on 600 mm rails and a 15–20 mm open joint. On old brick, anchor pull-out tests are required before the frame design is frozen. Send photographs, building age and a few pull-out results and we will return a survey checklist and fixing proposal.
Packing
Supplied on pallets, export packing about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm, loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with fumigation-free packing. Store under cover, keep pallets level and avoid point loads on the decorated face.
FAQ
A: Usually not. At about 8.8 kg/m² plus sub-frame the added load is far below a new stone skin; we still ask for substrate type and pull-out results so the anchor design can be confirmed.
A: Yes. The overclad is fixed from the outside and closed in sections, so access and services inside the building are largely unaffected.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send facade photographs, building age and substrate information, and we will return a survey checklist, fixing proposal and quotation within two working days.

Quick Answers
A: Usually not: at about 8.8 kg/m2 plus sub-frame the added load is far below a new stone skin, confirmed against substrate pull-out results.
A: Yes, the overclad is fixed from outside and closed elevation by elevation.
A: A galvanised sub-frame is packed off the wall by 30-80 mm to reach a true plane, so uneven brickwork needs no rendering.
A: Yes, 0.064 W/(m.K) at 100C plus thermal mass improves the envelope without losing internal floor area.
A: MOQ 2000 m2, USD 35-40 per m2, 2-3 weeks after deposit and sample approval.
