Custom Cut Granite Look Ceramic Board for Curtain Wall Spandrels
In short: The FJ-1102QS is a custom cut granite look ceramic board, 30-50 mm thick and cut to your mullion and transom grid before firing, colour matched to the project granite and Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624.
Curtain wall spandrels are cut to the mullion and transom grid, not to a catalogue size, and they must match the stone reference of the vision glass surround. This custom cut granite look ceramic board is produced from your cut list: any rectangle within 1200 × 900 mm, any thickness from 30 to 50 mm, colour matched to the project granite.
Cutting happens before firing, so every panel edge carries the same fired face and the same 0.6% water absorption body as the front. That matters on spandrels and column casings, where the edge is often visible from below and a cut-after-firing board would show an open, porous core.
Core Advantages
- Produced to Your Cut List: each panel is cut to the mullion and transom grid before firing, with a numbering plan for installation
- Edges as Dense as the Face: cutting before firing means the edge carries the fired skin, not an open porous core
- Colour Match to Project Granite: pigment matched against the stone reference and approved on a sample board before the batch
- Thickness 30 to 50 mm: chosen per wind load zone, from spandrel infill at 30 mm to column casing at 50 mm
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: the inorganic body keeps the A1 classification whatever the panel size
- 0.6% Water Absorption: spandrel cavities and column casings stay dimensionally stable in driving rain

Application
- Spandrel panels between vision glass on unitised curtain walls
- Column casings and mullion covers cut to site dimensions
- Infill panels around openings where the grid is irregular
- Replacement panels for existing facades that must match an old granite reference
- Parapet caps and copings cut to the roof plan
- Interior fin and bulkhead cladding cut to a millwork drawing
Installation & Fixing
Fix per the curtain wall system: glazed in with structural silicone or retained by pressure plates with a drained cavity, or back-groove hung on a ventilated system for solid substrates. Because panels are cut to the grid, install strictly by panel number and check the diagonal of each opening before setting. Do not re-cut on site without approval, since the fired edge is what keeps the panel closed. Send your cut list and granite reference and we will return a numbered shop drawing and quotation.
Packing
Packed by panel number on export pallets with foam interlayers and a packing list matching the shop drawing, about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm.
FAQ
A: Yes. Send a photo of the existing panel in daylight with a scale, plus the approximate installation year, and we will produce a colour-matched sample board; exact match on aged stone is confirmed on the sample.
A: Cutting before firing closes the edge with the same sintered skin as the face, so the panel keeps its 0.6% absorption and does not expose an open core at visible edges.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send your cut list, grid drawing and granite reference, and we will return a numbered shop drawing, sample board and quotation within two working days.
