Curved Granite Look Ceramic Column Cladding Formed to a Custom Radius
In short: The FJ-1003H is a 45 mm curved granite look ceramic column cladding panel formed to the measured radius before firing, Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624 and 0.6% water absorption, for lift lobbies and atria.
Wrapping a column in stone normally means thin slab sections, mitred corners and a visible joint at every change of plane. This curved granite look ceramic column cladding is formed to radius in the mould before firing, so a round column can be clad in segments that meet with a single joint and carry the granite pattern continuously around the curve.
Each segment is made to the measured diameter, so the finished column reads as one machined stone shaft. Because the body is inorganic and Class A1 non-combustible, the same cladding can be used in lift lobbies and atria where the lining has to satisfy the escape strategy.
Core Advantages
- Formed to Radius: the panel is curved in the mould before firing, so the radius is inherent and does not spring back on site
- Continuous Pattern Around the Curve: the granite grain runs across each segment, so a clad column reads as one stone shaft
- Single Vertical Joint: two or three segments cover a typical lobby column, cutting joint count and sealant maintenance
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: inorganic body rated to GB 8624 for lobby and atrium linings inside escape routes
- 45 mm Section: stiff enough at ≥0.60 MPa flexural strength for a floor-to-slab column run without a backing shell
- Made to Measured Diameter: each order is produced against the site diameter and storey height, including taper and capital details

Application
- Lift lobby and core columns in office and hotel buildings
- Atrium and mall columns where a stone look must wrap a curve
- Entrance and porte-cochere columns on hospitality projects
- Round and oval columns in heritage refurbishment
- Structural columns that must be re-clad without losing floor area
- Freestanding feature fins and cylinders in showrooms
Installation & Fixing
Measure the column at three heights and two axes before production, since out-of-round concrete is the usual cause of site misfits. Segments are fixed with a cement-based adhesive plus stainless banding or concealed clips at the joints, and the vertical joints are sealed with a matching grout or neutral silicone. Set a level base ring first, then stack segments plumb and check the circumference at each lift. Send column diameter, height and out-of-round measurements and we will return segment shop drawings.
Packing
Each segment is blocked in its own export cradle with foam padding and strapped at the circumference, about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm. Keep crates upright and never lay curved segments flat.
FAQ
A: We work from site measurements at the base, mid-height and the top, plus a template of the out-of-round profile; segments are then produced to the actual shape rather than the nominal drawing diameter.
A: Orders start at 2000 m² equivalent; for one-off lobby columns we still quote per column against a shop drawing approval step.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send column diameters, storey heights and photographs, and we will return segment shop drawings, sample board and quotation within three working days.

Quick Answers
A: From site measurements at base, mid-height and top plus an out-of-round template, so segments match the actual column.
A: Two or three segments normally cover a lobby column, giving one or two vertical joints.
A: Yes, the granite grain is fired across each segment so the clad column reads as one stone shaft.
A: Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624, suitable for lift lobbies inside escape routes.
A: MOQ 2000 m2, USD 35-40 per m2, 3-4 weeks for curved work.
