Low Water Absorption Granite Pattern Ceramic Panel with a 0.6% Sintered Body
In short: The FJ-1109QS is a 35 mm low water absorption granite pattern ceramic panel with a 0.6% sintered body, Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624 and chemical resistance Class GLA to JG/T 511, for pool, spa and coastal facades.
On a pool deck, a spa wall or a coastal elevation, water absorption decides how long a stone look lasts. Natural granite absorbs 0.3–0.8% and traps salts that later effloresce or spall the surface; this low water absorption granite pattern ceramic panel is specified at 0.6% on a closed sintered body, with no open capillary network to hold water or chloride.
The mechanism matters more than the number. The body is sintered until the pores close, so water arriving at the face has nowhere to go, and any that sits on the surface dries without pulling salts out of the panel. That is why the same panel is used on swimming pool surrounds, water park walls and seaside facades.
Core Advantages
- 0.6% Water Absorption: a closed sintered body with no open capillaries, so water and chloride salts stay at the surface instead of inside the panel
- No Efflorescence: because water cannot travel through the section, salts are not carried to the face, which keeps the granite pattern clean
- Pool and Spa Ready: resists chlorinated and salt water splash, which erodes cement-based and porous stone finishes over time
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: inorganic body rated Class A1 to GB 8624 for public pool halls and enclosed water parks
- Chemical Resistance Class GLA: the fired skin stands up to pool chemicals and routine descaler cleaning without etching (JG/T 511)
- 25 Cycle Freeze-Thaw: glaze without cracks or flaking to GB/T 5486, so wet walls that freeze in winter stay intact

Application
- Swimming pool surrounds and pool hall walls with high humidity
- Spa, sauna and water park interiors where splash is constant
- Coastal facades exposed to salt spray and driving rain
- Fountain and water feature walls that stay wet for long periods
- Wash-down areas in food and beverage plants
- Public shower and changing room walls that need a stone look
Installation & Fixing
Fix with a cement-based adhesive rated for wet areas, full contact coverage, plus stainless anchors at panel corners; keep a 5 mm joint and seal with a neutral-cure silicone suitable for chlorinated water. Tank the substrate behind the panels in pool halls and slope the base detail so water drains away from the panel edge. Do not use acidic descalers on the joints; a mild alkaline cleaner is enough. Send the wet-area drawings and we will return a fixing detail and joint layout.
Packing
Supplied on pallets, export packing about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm, loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers with fumigation-free packing. Store under cover, keep pallets level and avoid point loads on the decorated face.
FAQ
A: Yes. At 0.6% volumetric absorption the body behaves as a closed material, and because the face is sealed with a neutral silicone joint the panel does not take up moisture through the edges either.
A: For splash and wet zones yes; for permanently submerged applications we ask for the water chemistry and a sample immersion test before quoting, since sealing details differ.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send your wet-area drawings, water chemistry and required slip rating, and we will return a fixing detail, surface proposal and quotation within two working days.

Quick Answers
A: A closed sintered body has no open capillaries, so water and chloride stay at the surface instead of travelling through the panel.
A: No. Because water does not move through the section, salts are not carried to the face.
A: Yes, chemical resistance is Class GLA to JG/T 511 and the fired face resists routine pool chemicals.
A: Freeze-thaw testing to GB/T 5486 shows the glaze without cracks or flaking.
A: MOQ 2000 m2, USD 35-40 per m2, 2-3 weeks after deposit and sample approval.
