0.6 Percent Water Absorption Stone Look Ceramic Paver for Exterior Paving
In short: The FJ-1104QS is a 30 mm stone look ceramic paver with 0.6% water absorption, frost resistant glaze to GB/T 5486 and Class A1 non-combustible to GB 8624, for plazas, roof terraces and podium decks.
Exterior paving fails at the joints first, and then in the body: water enters a porous tile, freezes, and the face spalls after two or three winters. This stone look ceramic paver is specified at 0.6% water absorption and tested to GB/T 5486 for freeze-thaw with the glaze showing no cracks or flaking.
At 30 mm it also carries foot traffic and light maintenance loads, and the fired-in stone pattern keeps its colour when the surface is scuffed. Because the body is inorganic and Class A1 non-combustible, the same paver can be used on roof terraces and podium decks inside the fire strategy.
Core Advantages
- 0.6% Water Absorption: the closed body leaves little free water to freeze, which is why the paving survives winter cycles
- Freeze-Thaw Tested: glaze without cracks or flaking to GB/T 5486, suitable for cold-climate exterior paving
- Stone Look That Wears: the granite pattern is fired into the body, so scuffing and cleaning do not expose a different colour underneath
- 30 mm Traffic Section: stiff enough for pedestrian plazas and terraces with light maintenance vehicles
- Class A1 Non-Combustible: usable on roof terraces and podium decks inside the building fire strategy
- Pollution Resistance Class 3: city dirt lifts with water, so the paving does not need a sealing cycle

Application
- Plazas, walkways and entrance aprons around public buildings
- Roof terraces and podium decks on residential and office projects
- Pool surrounds and outdoor shower decks
- Shopping centre external paving where a stone look is specified
- Landscape steps, planters and low retaining faces
- Cold-climate exterior paving where porous tile has failed before
Installation & Fixing
Lay on a compacted and drained base: 100–150 mm compacted aggregate, 30–40 mm bedding mortar or a pedestal system on terraces, with a 3–5 mm joint and a flexible exterior grout. Keep a 1–2% fall to drainage and provide movement joints every 6–8 m and at every change of plane. On pedestals use a four-pad support at the panel corners. Send the paving plan and drainage falls and we will return a laying pattern and joint layout.
Packing
Packed face to face in export pallets with PE interlayers and edge guards, about 621 kg gross per crate at 110 × 92 × 200 cm. Store flat on a drained surface and do not stand crates on edge; keep the face protected until the paving is handed over.
FAQ
A: The glaze is tested through freeze-thaw cycles to GB/T 5486 with no cracking or flaking, and because absorption is only 0.6% there is little free water inside the section to expand.
A: The standard paving face is lightly profiled and reaches the slip class required for external pedestrian areas; tell us your target class and we will confirm the profile before production.
A: MOQ is 2000 m² per order and lead time is 2–3 weeks after deposit and sample approval; phased sites can be shipped in partial lots.
A: Each batch is tested to GB/T 5486, GB 8624 and GB/T 10295, compared with the approved colour sample under daylight, and photographed pallet by pallet before loading.
Send your paving plan, climate zone and slip resistance class, and we will return a laying pattern, samples and quotation within two working days.

Quick Answers
A: The body is 0.6% absorption and the glaze is tested through freeze-thaw to GB/T 5486 without cracking or flaking, so little free water remains inside the section.
A: Plazas, walkways, roof terraces, podium decks, pool surrounds and outdoor shower decks.
A: About 7.5 kg/m2 at 30 mm, far lighter than a 30 mm stone paver, which helps on podium and roof structures.
A: No sealing cycle is required; pollution resistance is Class 3 to JG/T 511 and the face cleans with water.
A: MOQ 2000 m2, USD 35-40 per m2, 2-3 weeks after deposit and sample approval.
