MYREAL calcium silicate shaped blocks are machined from MY270 dense board, which carries 0.65 MPa compressive strength and 0.33 MPa flexural strength with dimensional stability within 1%. They are made to your drawing for furnace doors, burner openings, pipe penetrations and irregular equipment surfaces where a flat board cannot follow the furnace geometry, and hold their shape at 650 C service.
Technical Data
Application
Specified where the lining has to follow a shape that flat board cannot cover, and where the part must resist knocks during erection and service.
- Furnace door and burner opening blocks
- Pipe and duct penetration pieces
- Irregular shell and casing lining segments
- Support and spacer blocks in furnace lining
- Replacement parts for worn lining on existing furnaces
Key Advantages
- Machined to your drawing, so complex geometry needs no on site cutting.
- MY270 grade gives 0.65 MPa compressive and 0.33 MPa flexural strength.
- Dimensional stability within 1% holds the fit through thermal cycling.
- Class A1 non-combustible with no flame spread and no dense smoke.
- Low chloride ion content, safe for stainless steel adjacent parts.
Standards and Compliance
- Manufactured to GB/T 5486 calcium silicate products standard under an ISO 9001 certified quality system
- GB/T 8624 Class A1 non-combustible, no flame spread and no dense smoke
- Low chloride ion content protects stainless steel and alloy pipework from chloride stress corrosion
- Low water absorption, performance is not affected by humidity
- Free of formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful substances
Installation Notes
- Dry fit the block against the shell before fixing to confirm the shape.
- Keep the designed expansion gap between adjacent blocks.
- Fix with stainless steel anchors or ceramic studs matched to the block thickness.
- Seal joints with a matching high temperature mortar where a continuous lining is required.
- Do not cut or drill on site beyond the drawing allowance.
